A four wheeler?

For some time now, we (me & my parents) have been considering buying a car. We did look at Maruti Alto, WagonR & Santro Xing. Alto seems to be within our budget. The other 2 cars are costlier, but more spacious. Alto has the best mileage & operating costs compared to the other two. I'm not able to decide which one to buy. We would be buying the car sometime in the second week of next month (August).

Santro rules... :D

I know Santro is good.. But Alto is better than Santro in Mileage, vehicle cost, maintenance, cost of spares, cost of service, etc. The only set back of Alto is that it looks cramped (& the interior space is cramped to some extent too).

Space (& comfort) is the only thing in which Santro & WagonR score over Alto. Higher power is an illusion in Bangalore city roads. You can't use it anyway. So, 800cc or 1.1 litre, it doesn't matter.

Umpteen number of reasons not to buy Scorpio..
1) Insufficient funds (you people can help me out in this)
2) 2.6 litres of power is a definite waste in Bangalore's roads
3) The vehicle's HUGE... I can never find a parking spot for that anywhere in Bangalore (Think of 4-5 years from now & the parking problem then)
4) Most of the times, it will be me alone driving in the 4-wheeler. So, Scorpio for a single person's travel sounds silly & waste of fuel. It's good for going out in a group.
5) See the Reason 1

Naren, then I have a few more reasons why not to buy a scorpio - More Fuel costs (because of dropping everybody to work) & increased time spent in travelling.. :-)
